The third season of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" contains the usual ten half-hour episodes that are contained in two DVDs (six episodes on Disc 1 and four on Disc 2).

Disc 1: "Chet´s Shier", "The Benadryl Brownie", "Club Soda and Salt", "The Nanny From Hell", "The Terrorist Attack", "The Special Section"
Disc 2: "The Corpse-Sniffing Dog", "Krazee Eyez Killa", "Mary, Joseph and Larry", "The Grand Opening"

Video:
"Curb Your Enthusiasm" is presented in its original broadcast aspect ratio of 1.33:1 or what we like to call fullscreen on a regular TV. Quality-wise, the video transfer is quite good and is consistent with the previous releases of this show. The video images offer good detail, sharp colors and natural skin tones throughout all the ten episodes. Only upon closer inspection, jagged lines can be seen on the video images but they are not bad enough to cause any distraction. Overall, there is very little to complain about the video transfer quality. Three subtitle options in English, French and Spanish are included.

Audio:
Audio options on this DVD set include both English and French 2-channel Dolby Surround. As the show is mainly dialogue-driven, these 2-channel audio options are more than capable of producing an enjoyable sound field that is front-heavy. Dialogue is very clear and the wacky music score is pleasing to the ears. As for the surround channels, they stay mostly silent.

Extras:
While the Season Two DVD release disappointed many with its complete lack of any bonus material, Season Three makes it up with an hours worth of stuff. However, don´t expect any of the usual features like audio commentaries or a behind-the-scenes documentary. Instead you will get some interesting footages taken from the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival that was held in Aspen, CO. There are two main sections to this feature: one has the cast and crew of the show come on stage to introduce their favorite scenes and the other involves one of the show´s directors, David Steinberg, interviewing Larry David, Jeff Garlin, Richard Lewis, Susie Essmann and executive producer Robert B. Weide about the many aspects of the show and the characters that the actors play. Overall, a very worthy and interesting feature that is sure to please fans of this show.

Packaging:
The packaging is similar to the previous releases and if you´ve never seen it, is quite innovative. On the outside, it looks like any normal 2-disc DVD box until you open up the single flap and find that there is no way to get to the discs! Examining it closely, you will find that the two disc trays holding the DVDs are on top of each other, slotted tightly into the box. So what do you do now? Well, if you look at the bottom inside of the box, you will locate a tab with the word, "Pull" on it. Eureka! As you pull one tray out, you will be amazed to see the other tray sliding out in opposite direction at the same time! Whether this simple contraption will last the continuous sliding as time goes by remains to be seen. One thing I can say though, is that it´s a nifty little gadget that is as out there as the show itself!

Film Value:
Season Three of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is by far the best one of all. While the first season was a novelty and the second season featured more of the same thing, this third season really shines with imaginative comedy that jacks up the laughs to a new level. Larry David is so full of himself and probably quite sick in the head, I might add, that you just can´t help but laugh and laugh till your belly hurts.
