Audio:
As we all know, the director eschews modern multichannel audio in favor of good, old-fashioned monaural, so that's the way he's miked "The Exported Reeboks." But, interestingly, he chose to position the mono sonics in all eight channels for maximum efficiency. In other words, there's no getting around this sound. Lamentably, if you don't have eight channels, you will get no signal at all, which for most of the movie is just as well.

Extras:
This Special Moebius Edition THD features not one, but two audio commentaries, and nothing on side two because there is no side two. I mean literally. You turn the disc over and you're back on side one. It's kinda fun. Anyway, the first commentary is by director Martin Scoresalot, who talks a good deal about his youth growing up in Butte, Montana, the copper mines, Walkerville, and State Street. The second commentary is by film critics Roger Ebert and Leonard Maltin, who knew nothing about the film, had never seen it before, but seemed to enjoy talking about it, regardless. Ebert expounds upon his camera work in "Citizen Kane," and Maltin is especially enlightening as he recounts his adventures as an original Mouseketeer.

In addition, you'll find an exclusive look-behind-the-scenes featurette on the making of "The Departure, Track 2, Reboxed, Part 213, All in the Family Plot," which, in its fashion is almost as good as the movie itself, but longer by several days. Then, there's a live panel discussion on the role of the recently deceased in modern society with Harry Houdini, Edgar Cayce, and the Reverend Norman Vincent Peale, moderated by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Finally, the disc includes two-and-a-half scene selections; a widescreen theatrical trailer for the upcoming Scoresthehardway thriller, "Bonnie Me Lass"; Abkhazian, Bengali, Italian, and Danish spoken languages; and Turkish, Hindu, Canadian, and Danish subtitles.

Parting Words:
"A throng of bearded men, in sad-colored garments and gray, steeple-crowned hats, intermixed with women, some wearing hoods, and others bareheaded, was assembled in front of a wooden edifice, the door of which was heavily timbered with oak and studded with iron spikes." Oh, that Jack! He and his gang are a card, aren't they? Unless, of course, you just don't know Jack.
