" “Irresponsible Captain Tylor” is still one of the more original and entertaining anime series I have seen, and I look forward to the OVA series.

Extras:
There are few extras on this DVD. In the main menu, you get the description and technical schematic of most of the ships used by the Raalgon Empire. There are several facts about the Raalgon in here that was not made obvious to me in the series, so it´s a good read.
By far, the most entertaining extra was called "Melva Tour". It was an account of Tylor´s capture and incarceration aboard the Raalgon flagship, the Melva, in Tylor´s own words. The account is related through text and a few pictures. I don´t know if The Right Stuf came up with this one on their own, but if so, they did such a good job capturing Tylor´s attitude that you don´t want to skip this one.
In the Bonus menu, the first extra is "Gallery". It contains short clips from various parts of the series that center around the various combat scenes that happened in the series. My memory may be a little fuzzy, but it seems that just about all of the scenes were from the start of the series.
Second, there´s a spot for "Weblinks". It shows the URLs for the official North American "Irresponsible Captain Tylor" website and The Right Stuf´s own site.
Third is the "Special Thanks", a gigantic list of people and the town and state they´re from, including the my university´s anime club vice president, James Black. This is a list of the people who preordered the "Irresponsible Captain Tylor" DVDs, thereby making the project possible.
Finally, there´s the "Japanese Credits". The ending credits play with only the Japanese credits in English displayed.
--Miscellaneous--
The DVD doesn´t come with anything inside the case. In fact, the disc itself has little else but black text on it.
Film Value:
After all of the guessing, the series is over, and I still don´t feel that Tylor was explained to my full satisfaction. Actually, the series is NOT over, there´s a few OVA series left to go, but that doesn´t change my main gripe- the series should have had a more definitive ending, and that´s why the Film Value was rated one point lower than the other discs. "Irresponsible Captain Tylor" is still one of the more original and entertaining anime series I have seen, and I look forward to the OVA series.
