...the best superhero show ever and it got even better in its sophomore year.

Fanboys rejoice. The world's greatest superheroes are back for another season of "Justice League." Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash, J'onn J'onzz (The Martian Manhunter), Hawkgirl, and Wonder Woman return to battle menaces too powerful for them to tackle on their own. The first season saw the mighty Justice League battle everybody from Lex Luthor and The Joker to Gorilla Grodd and the immortal Vandal Savage. In season 2, these villains return and are joined by a few new ones. Also, extra attention should be paid to the second season as many story arcs will pave the way for the rest of the series.
The episodes are as follows:
-Disc 1-
"Twilight 1 & 2"
Superman and the Justice League receive a plea for help from the most unlikeliest of sources, Darkseid. Having lost his war against New Genesis, Darkseid's forces are left wide open for an assault by Brainiac. We see a darker side of Superman, who still wants revenge on Darkseid for being brainwashed at the end of "Superman: The Animated Series." These episodes also pay off big time in the series finale.
"Tabula Rasa 1 & 2"
On the lam, Lex Luthor stumbles onto an experiment by a former employee. That experiment is Amazo, an android that can duplicate the super powers of anyone nearby. The team is also a member short when J'onn has crisis of faith and disappears.
"Only a Dream 1 & 2"
The Justice League battles their creepiest foe yet in Doctor Destiny, a supervillain with the ability to attack them in their dreams.
-Disc 2-
"Maid of Honor 1 & 2"
Batman and Wonder Woman take the spotlight when Vandal Savage stages a coup d'état of a small European nation, in order to place a massive weapon in space. We get a continued tease of a Batman-Wonder Woman relationship that never quite gets resolved.
"Hearts and Minds 1 & 2"
One of my favorite villains makes his animated debut. John Stewart heads to the alien planet of Kalanor to rescue a fellow member of the Green Lantern Corps. There, he encounters a religious fanatic named Despero, who holds the people in his thrall.
"A Better World 1 & 2"
Justice League meet the Justice Lords, duplicates from a parallel universe where the heroes have become oppressive dictators. In this world, the Flash is dead and Luthor became president only to be assassinated by Superman. Now, the Lords plan to make the League's world a better one, whether they like it or not.
-Disc 3-
"Eclipsed 1 & 2"
The series creators joked that this was the "O" season with the debuts of Amazo, Despero, and now Eclipso, in a heavily altered way. A mysterious black diamond holds the memories of a malevolent race of lizard-men, causing anyone it comes into contact with to turn evil.
"The Terror Beyond 1 & 2"
It's DC's version of Marvel's Defenders. Instead of Dr. Strange, Namor, and the Hulk, we get Dr. Fate, Aquaman, and Solomon Grundy. With the League's help they must prevent a Lovecraftian god from destroying the world.
"Secret Society 1 & 2"
Powers Boothe returns to wonderfully provide the voice of Gorilla Grodd. Like Luthor last season, he's created his own gang of criminals along with The Shade, Clayface, Killer Frost, Sinestro, Parasite, and Giganta. Dubbed the Secret Society, they manipulate dissension within the League's ranks to defeat them.
-Disc 4-
"Hereafter 1 & 2"
The episode opens with an exciting battle between the League and the Superman Revenge Squad, a group of Superman villains dedicated to killing the Man of Steel. One of them succeeds when Toyman seemingly vaporizes Superman. The League must deal with Superman's death and with the psychotic Lobo, who hopes to replace him.
